Red phone boxes

I always found it brilliant how many display networks are connected to public phone boxes, and how they form these public interiors, sheltered from the elements yet still visible. Not very long ago, I learned that these ads for sex services are called tart cards 😄 and lo and behold! there is even a book about them… “Tart cards. London illicit advertising art”.

I miss London.

And I am thinking also of Jordan Seiler’s “Talk to me”, where he connected NYC pay phones to each other and got strangers talking.
